Dr. Williams is a #plantmom and enjoys tending a container garden when the weather is more friendly! She loves soaking up the sun in the summer, which brings her joy and energy, and she always finds time to sip on a warm, comforting masala chai in the winter.
Dr. Kerry-Ann Williams is a psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer at Justice Resource Institute. She enjoys teaching the next generation of psychiatrists at the Harvard/Cambridge Health Alliance Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship programs, where she is a Part-Time Lecturer. Her most recent project has been hosting a podcast called Black Mental Health Matters with Dr. Kerry-Ann, where she highlights mental health providers and topics relevant to the Black community and beyond. Dr. Williams believes that wellness is multifactorial - including biological, psychological, spiritual, social, and cultural aspects that are intricately interconnected. She observes that healing is frequently an exploration of these parts, both individually and together with others. Throughout her time practicing as a psychiatrist, she has developed a specialization in working with individuals that have experienced complex psychiatric presentations because of traumatic experiences, and she has also observed the amazing ways that individuals survive and thrive.
